FAQs
We believe in unity in essential beliefs and liberty in non-essential beliefs.
God of the Bible God is the creator and ruler of the universe, embodying holiness, love, limitless power, wisdom, and goodness. He has eternally existed as three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal and united as one God. (Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully human, lived a sinless life, and offered himself on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for sin, reconciling humanity to God. He rose from the dead, demonstrating victory over sin and death, ascended to heaven, and intercedes for us at the Father’s right hand until He returns to judge all humanity. (Matthew 1:21,23; Mark 10:45; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 5:20)
Salvation
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His death, Christ provided the perfect sacrifice for sin. We are saved by trusting in Christ and turning from our self-directed lives. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ by faith. (Romans 6:23; John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Titus 3:4-7)
Sin
We believe all people are born with a sin nature, which separates us from God, leading to spiritual, physical, and eternal death. Sin encompasses thoughts and actions contrary to God’s commandments and nature. (Romans 3:23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Colossians 3:5)
Heaven and Hell Every soul is created to live forever, either separated from God by sin or united with Him through salvation. Heaven is the eternal kingdom Christ has prepared, while hell is a place of eternal punishment for those who reject the gospel. (Mark 9:43; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; John 14:2-4; Revelation 7:13-17)
Authority of the Bible The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are God’s supreme Word, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible uniquely and infallibly reveals God’s plan and how to live it out. Our beliefs, practices, and mission are grounded in its teachings. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 John 2:3-7; Psalm 119:105)
Hip-hop is not merely a passing trend defined by a song or dance; it’s a subculture with a 50-year history that influences people across all backgrounds—from professionals to street hustlers. While we may not always understand or agree with it, hip-hop shapes our world, yet we risk losing this generation to the culture’s negative aspects. So, why not embrace hip-hop in the Church? Although reaching this culture may challenge church traditions, the Apostle Paul encourages Christians to take extraordinary measures to reach everyone for God’s Kingdom, including those in hip-hop. We believe that it takes all kinds of churches to reach all kinds of people. At The Edge, we’ve designed our ministry to welcome everyone, especially those within the hip-hop community. Our goal is to bring them in, nurture their growth, and empower them to reach others like them. As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:22: “To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.”

Baptism is an outward commitment and celebration of an inward change in a person’s heart. The Edge believes baptism is important in a person's faith journey because Jesus himself was baptized and also told his followers to be baptized. The first step in the baptism process is to complete the form below so that a leader can follow up with you!
